I try to implement the 15 min. rule. If I don't feel like exercising, I tell myself I can exercise for 15 minutes, and if I still do not want to exercise, I have my permission to stop (but I still have gotten in a 15 min. workout). Usually I keep going after the 15. If I want a snack or a second helping, I tell myself I can have that in 15 minutes. Usually in 15 I have either moved on or the craving has stopped, my sugar level is stabilized, or whatever. 15 is a great little motivator!

A lot of times I reach for food when I am not really hungry. I try to go by the 15 minute rule. I will get a drink of water and do something else for 15 minutes. If I still want to eat after that 15 minutes I go ahead and have something. Many times that distraction is all I need to get through. 91
Most people I've spoken to use the 15 minute rule that states if they are craving something, they would wait 15 minutes and then if the item is still wanted, it would be eaten then. I would always end up eating it anyway. My 15 minute rule is this: if I'm not going to remember I ate something 15 minutes from now, I don't eat it. This gets me past the M&Ms on a desk, but allows for the decadent Saturday night treat if I really want it. I always remember those...Delish! 20
I follow the rule . . . even if I don't feel like exercising I try for at least 15 minutes and if I still don't feel like it after 15 minutes I quit but more times than most after 15 minutes I keep going and before I know it my workout session is over with. Am I feel happy that I did my workout!!
