To bypass the deprivation feeling of 'dieting', my focus is not to focus on how few calories I consume, but rather what healthy foods I 'add to' my diet, as I increase consumption of healthy foods and allowing my body to then start craving those foods that catapult me to healthy living success.
Focus: Increased fiber
Action: Precook long grain brown rice (in a veggie broth made from the pulp of the veggies juiced that day) and store in 4 oz containers.
Focus: Increased living enzymes and highly absorbable micro-nutrients to my diet.
Method: Consume lots of fresh fruits and veggies.
Action: One glass fresh fruit/veggie juice or consuming at least three whole fruits each day.

Keep in mind a great way to eat and exercise that you can see yourself doing 20 years from now. This frame of thinking helps us move away from a "dieting mentality" and towards a "lifestyle change mentality", which will keep your results lasting for the longterm...no more rinsing and repeating!
One of the most powerful things that SparkPeople has taught me is that although I can & will be imperfect, I can still be a success! If I miss a workout or go over on calories, I don't throw the towel in for that week, or even the whole day. I look at how far I've come & jump right back in.
Getting rid of the "all or nothing" mentality is the best thing I've done for myself!
This journey is 95% mental and 5% exercise and nutrition. Figure out the reasons that you gained weight, work on dealing with emotions/stress, keep finding new ways to stay motivated, and take care of YOU!
Journaling, talking to a friend, exercise, and really spending time with myself have helped me to keep my mentality in the right place.
