Secrets of Success

I stopped using my scale... Seems in my head I always want it and expect it to be more weight loss then it is. I had to stop weighing in so often. Now instead I see my pants getting smaller and it keeps me from being so hard on myself or giving up when it's not what I wanted to see...

More Information:

once a month on the scale is all it takes!

  • I haven't stopped weighing in weekly but I quite understand where you are coming from. I too have been frustrated by the weekly results. However as you mention my pants are getting bigger and the tape measure is reflecting real change in my body measurements - I'm down almost 2 inches on my waist and hips. I'm kind of scared to only weigh once a month in case I slide off track. That's just me. I really had not weighed myself for two years and feel like things just got away on me. I thought I was still ok but instead put on 30 lbs and stopped any kind of fitness routine. So it was time for me to put a halt to the downward slide. However these days I am taking the scale with a grain of salt. I say whatever works for you! Keep up the good work anyway. emoticon - by GOLFLADY11
