The weather is heating up. To help keep cool, fill your water bottle 1/4 to 1/2 full with water and then put it in the freezer over night. Before you walk out the door, fill it the rest of the way with water. It will stay cold for the entire walk and keep you cooler than regular water!!!

I have done that and it works great. Just be careful with plastic because they release some type of chemical when frozen or heated on the sun that are not good for any of us.

I do that for my work water bottle. Almost everyone brings in their own water because we have town water at work and it tastes funny.

I have been doing this... freezing a bottle half full of water and then filling it up to hike or walk. It is perfect for encourag9ng teens to get out there too, as my now gfrown kids will test to.

This is what I do year round for my water bottle for work, so I have ice water all day, just refill from the water cooler. I knit a wool water bottle holder and use a thin foam liner so it's insulated and doesn't sweat on my papers!

You can take them on your walk/run/workout and the water melts and stays cold longer than cold water does.
I have a 44 ounce insulated mini cooler. First thing in the morning I fill it up with water and lots of iceand then again after lunch. It keeps the water cold and is more convienent than running upstairs 8-10 times a day! Makes sure I get my water in and keeps it cold all day!
