When I make tomato based sauces such as meat sauce or marinara they taste so much better with a little sweetness added. I found that pouring in a little balsamic vinegar gives a perfect hint of sweetness to balance the flavors, and the strong vinegar taste cooks off. Also, adding cinnamon makes a meat sauce great!

Kick Up Chili Seasoning Mixes with Flavorful Add-Ins
I have a delicious “from scratch” chili recipe that calls for some unusual ingredients, but it takes forever to assemble. To save time, I just add these items to a box of chili seasoning mix. Here’s what I add-in – you can add as many or as few as you like. For liquid add Beer, Beef Broth and Brewed Coffee. For an interesting flavor add a Tablespoon each of Cocoa Powder and Brown Sugar. For beans add a can each of Pinto Beans, Black Beans, Light & Dark Kidney Beans.
Also add canned Tomatoes, Tomato Sauce, Onions, Green Pepper & Lean Ground Meat, like you usually would.
It depends on what kind of pasta you eat. Al Dente provides more vitamins & minerals than over cooked pasta and Dreamfield's is a good choice as it has 5 digestable carbs, even whole grain pasta is better than white pasta. No creamy or rich sauces either, always have pasta with a tomato based sauce or tossed with a little Olive Oil &Fresh garlic or even Red Clam Sauce Add veggies like brocolli, green beans, chopped onion, or fillers like shrimp, garbanzo beans, or flaxseeds. Eat In Moderation.
