Since I am retired and determined to lose weight, I dress in my work out clothes first thing in the morning so I am ready to go once I have a light breakfast. if I have to run an errand, I may modify the clothes till I return home, then back into the tennis shoes, etc as it keeps me motivated.
Years ago, my dad took me on a hike at Purgatory Chasm, and I instantly fell in love with the calm and quiet of the whole place. So, now whenever I don't feel like exercising or I feel like doing something a little different, I head up there and climb through the Chasm and explore a new trail. Even after all these years, it is everchanging and calming, all at the same time.
The best part is all I need to a pair of sneakers, which are always on hand, the cellphone, and my knife, and I am ready to go.
