I have been able to save a lot of money now that all my bills are due the same day. Ironically around the first of the month. I get paid twice a month so my second check is usually put into savings along with the money from my first check.
Is not as hard as it seems. You can change most utilities and phone and rent is already due then in most places. so is easier to budget and avoid living paycheck to paycheck
Each paycheck I keep track of every cent that I spend. After all the major bills are paid, I try to really limit how much I spend. Once I get my next paycheck I look at how much of the first paycheck is left. I put all of that into savings. I then use the next paycheck until I get paid again. So far, I've saved almost $500 in three months!
I don't know how much cigarettes cost now, but whenever I give up drinking I seemingly have more money in my wallet and am able to pay more towards my credit cards. That's the only place left I have to cut back since we live within our means otherwise. Done deal.
