SLOW DOWN! Cut your food as you eat, instead of before...
As an extremely fast eater, I used to cut all my food up before I ate it. And before Icould blink, all my food was gone. So, I tried cutting each bite individually... (cut one bite, eat it, cut next bite, eat it, etc) I found that doing it this way makes my food "last longer" and I am more satified in the end!
For the last few years I've been progressively gaining weight. As the scale moved upward, I cut back on my eating habits. Before joining SP I had cut back to eating only one meal a day - lunch - with no other snacks or bad habits -- and I was still gaining! Now that I'm active in this plan the pounds are coming off and I'm feeling so much better. Part of the secret -- coming out of starvation mode!
Enough said above -- moral to the story is keep eating evenly throughout the day and it's much more effective than simply cutting back on calories. I'm living proof!
