An inkpen 'exploded' in my son's Ref. soccer uniform pocket and there were a few more 'blots on other parts of the shirt. (He forgot to tell me - I found it in the dryer) I remembered an old treatment I had heard about but never used: 1.) Dampen the area. 2.) Spray the area with hair spray! 3.) Pour a little dishsoap on the area 4.) Add a capful of white vinegar 5.) Blot it with a paper towel 6.) Let it sit for 30 minutes. 7.) Scrub w/a small brush (You may need to repeat this process.)
I did this process 3 times then washed it in a regular load again. My son's shirt is wearable, but I think it would have all come out if I'd known BEFORE it went in the dryer and the stain 'set'.

Never buy a computer printer based on the sale price. It totally doesn't matter. One company in particular *coughHPcough* puts their printers on sale at super low cost. That's because they don't make their money selling printers, they make money selling INK! Next time you want a printer, go to the ink aisle to find the cheapest ink cartridge and buy the corresponding printer. Of course I have a cousin so bitter that rather than buying $30 ink refills, he buys $32 printers every time 246
If you're buying a beach umbrella, tent, sun hat or similar item, choose something red, blue, violet, lavender or pink. A recent study of identical fabrics in different colors reveals that these hues filter the most UV rays, according to the journal of Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research. The worst performing colors were yellow and white. You can launder with RIT SunGuard that will give your favorite cover-up a 30 SPF UV-Protective coating that lasts 20 washings.
