I create a backup plan for each workout. Wednesday I had originally intended to go to spin class but slept poorly the night before and was in no shape to get up at 5 am. Instead, I packed my gym bag and went straight to the gym when I got off work. The elliptical wasn't my first choice but it was far better than nothing.

The most important meal of the day, always sets the tone to how you are going to eat for the rest of the day and feel. Always have a nutritious meal already made on hand so you don't grab the sugary cereal or cookie in the cabinet. The best ones I have are slim fast shake or meal bar or some other meal supplement. I also make 1/2 cup of egg substitute the night before so all I have to do is reheat and grab a fuit or other health carb to go along with. Remember BE PREPARED!
