Instead of worrying all day about things I can't fix right away, I set a specific time of day to do nothing but worry over those items. I take 10-15 mins a day to just worry. Then I push it away. My mood stays positive by knowing I can worry later.
If you have garments which require hand washing - sling them in the shower! Next time you shower, step on them as you wash yourself. They will be washed at the correct temperature, in your favourite shower gel and get rinsed with you. Before you get out, hang them over the tap to drip dry.
This works best with a walk in shower - I've never tried it with a shower over a bathtub. But it saves time and money if you can do it.
