William Davis MD wrote the book& says you can lose faster if you have a wheat free diet with no hunger or health risk. He says wheat raises blood sugar more than sugar itself, & if you eliminate wheat from your diet it will stabilize blood sugar. They say his patients have lost 30 lbs in 30 days. He says wheat stimulates the production of the the hormone insulin that causes the bloodstream to have more triglycerides, so by cutting wheat you can solve the high cholesterol problems. Worth a try

    I recently read Dr. Davis' book and although I have not gone wheat free yet, I am seriously considering it come the new year. I don't believe I have an intolerance to wheat but my belly is not as flat as I would like despite working out 6 days a week and eating healthy. I was a little upset after finding out that the whole wheat products I had been eating myself and trying to get my husband to eat may not be as healthy as I was led to believe. Hopefully once I get started I will find that this will work for me.

    I have been wheat free two weeks, and lost 3 lbs. Something that was next to impossible for me in the past. I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER, no joint aches, no IBS, and I sleep better and have stopped getting up in the night for a snack. I believe in Dr Davis. I have also increased the fats in my diet, coconut oil, olive oil and butter. I ate a grilled hamburger patty last night without the red meat guilt. YAY
