I keep my weight loss in perspective with a little grocery comparison. When I lost 10 pounds, it's as if I stopped carrying around that 10 pound sack of potatoes in front of me. 20 pounds--two sacks of potatoes. Try lugging all that in front of you everywhere you go all day & night long! If I lose 1-5 pounds, it's as if I lost the weight of a whole fatty roast! Now that's putting lost pounds into perspective. I then realize why I'm tired & how much stress extra weight places on the body.

Serve Sweet potatoes daily because they are easy on your budget & because they have lots of vitamin C, fiber and beta-carotene. Use them to prepare oven fries, oven fries, mashed potatoes, & stews or just pierce a whole sweet potato with a fork, wrap in a damp paper towel, and microwave for four to five minutes.
