DO NOT WEIGH DAILY! really, this sets you up to feeling bad based on a number. You need to FEEL what is going on. Are you feeling better? Are you making healthy choices that you kn ow will be good for your body? Is your tummy flatter, clothes loser, too big? That is what to monitor, not the numbers. Weekly or even better monthly weigh ins will then give you bigger numbers and be a more realistic picture of what is going on!! This will produce less sabotage, bad moods, more motivation and success!!

  • I fought the scale battles and finally realized that the scale is just one number among many other measures so I choose to weigh myself once a week for my sparkteam challenges and I do not sweat about it so long as am exercising regularly and eating balanced meals. I know with time and some times the scale has to catch up with me emoticon - by MUKAMI12
  • Just saw a trainer for Dances with the Stars who trained Kelly Osborne and he basically said what I just wrote! He said often when exercising the scale doesn't reveal the true "look" you are getting, the scale may go up but clothes size going down. So, stop torturing yourself, put the scale away and mark your calendar the week or month you choose to purposely weigh in! Then put the scale away again so you are not tempted. Remember, how many times are you feeling like you lost weight and "hopped on" to see what big loss you have only to see a GAIN...Stop that Madness!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon - by MEWHENRYSMAMA
  • I went down a size in my slacks. Yippee! Just still trying to get that tummy flatter.
Seems to be the hardest place to lose. I do weigh myself few times a week if I am
concerned about a day that I overdid my points.....making better choices and tracking all meals is a must...the scale can be a motivator or a sad thing.....but at
least it lets you know how you are doing.....thanks for your sharing and caring.... emoticon

  • I have never been a daily weigher...but I do weigh twice a week...it helps me to keep track of what I am doing, but on the flip side, I dont see much progress from week to week. i love your idea of weighing only once a month. I believe I am going to give it a try...lets hope I can stick to my guns on this because I fall to the temptation of the scale quite often. :) Maybe ill take a baby step and weigh every other week to start out with!!!! :) emoticon - by AMYNELSON1014
