Drink something with no calories when you are hungry that isn't sweet. Try water or decaf coffee without sweetener. It really helps.

Avoid diet sodas, which have artificial sweeteners. They make you eat more and the phosphoric acid in them may be unhealthy.

    I have found that it is truly a secret to drink when you feel hungry because hunger and thirst feel very similar! The advice about drinking 30 mins prior to a meal is not (like most thought) to fill you up it is to see if you were really hungry!
