I highly, highly recommend the book, _Anti Cancer: A New Way of Life_, by David Servan-Schreiber, MD. It was written by a doctor who was himself diagnosed with cancer at a young age. He researched ways to help himself (foods, supplements, meditation, etc.) treat/cure his cancer, on top of conventional treatments. His recommendations are backed up by solid research, and very helpful. I am a cancer survivor hoping to prevent a recurrence, and this book is the best I've found.
Don't Overcook Broccoli Steam Broccoli 4 mintues only to reap it's cancer fighting properties. An Apple a day is also good cancer fighter. Studies have demonstrated that people who eat a plant-based diet rich in fruits, vegetables, & whole grains have a significantly lower risk of developing many types of cancers and certainly chronic disease. Pineapple helps Breast and lung cancers. Green & black teas are good for their cancer fighting abilities. Eat berries, tomatoes, garlic, pumpkin.
