Being mindful about what we eat and the activity we engage in downsizes our bodies. So why not be mindful of our flurry of busy thoughts and downsize them as well? Try writing haiku to focus the mind and create new mantras for yourself. A haiku is a three-line non-rhyming poem of 17 syllables total with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. A form of poetry which originated in Japan, haiku has recently become popular on Twitter because of its brevity. Example below:
