As adults, we lose a lot of the magic of life because we stop doing the things we did as kids. Next time a sudden cloudburst floods the streets with runoff water, grab an umbrella, leave your shoes at the door and walk barefoot in the rain. (This is probably easiest in a paved suburban neighborhood.) You'd be surprised at how much you can "feel" through your feet - changes in water temp & speed, soft silky mud. It's like wading in a brook...and because it's so short-lived, it's all the more fun.

1.Deter ants. Sprinkle salt at doorways, window sills, & anywhere else ants sneak into your house. Ants don't like to walk on salt. 2.Drip-proof candles. If you soak new candles in a strong salt solution for a few hours, then dry them well, they will not drip as much when you burn them. 3.Deter patio weeds. If weeds or grass grow between bricks or blocks in your patio, sidewalk, (con't) 432
or driveway, carefully spread salt between the cracks, then sprinkle with water or wait for rain to wet it down.
Fitting in enough exercise on a busy schedule can be a challenge. Instead of taking my breaks at my desk, I walk around the block. I also make sure to walk during my lunch for at least 10 or 15 minutes. Those little bits add up fast!
I go out rain or shine - I keep an umbrella and my Yak Trax at work, so I have no excuses even if it's rainy or snowing. 20
