Don'T Be Afraid Of Oils

Although too much oil is bad for you, you do need some oil in your diet. Some nutrients and vitamins need oil to work properly in your body.
A 1/2 serving of light mayonnaise is not going to hurt your diet. Using enough olive oil so that meats like fish, chicken, and beef will not stick to the pan (1 teaspoon) is not going to wreck your calorie count either.
I know a lot of people like using the spray oils but using olive oil is actually quiet healthy in moderation and it tastes better.

Invest in an olive oil mister! This will serve as a non stick spray, help you dress salads and be able to use much less!! They are available many places but I purchased mine from Amazon.com where you can read reviews before you buy! emoticon

I've also heard that coconut oil has amaizng health benefits including helping with weight loss and it is safe to cook with it on high heat. I'm not sure if olive oil is? I think it's better for salads, etc. Also, another suggesstion is to take a liquid EFA suppleennt once a day to get your healthy fats without all the calories. Nordic Naturals or Ascenta are good brands.

Virgin Olive Oil is a good fat and may even help you lose weight. Virgin olive oil is also considered to be one of the best. The benefits outweigh the calories. Take 1 tablespoon of olive oil on an empty stomach to stimulate digestion and relieve upset stomach, flatulence and heartburn. 120 good calories. Whenever possible use olive oil in place of butter or other vegetable oils in cooking as it is good for inflammation and the skin. Oleic acid has also been identified as an appetite suppressor which sends a message to your brain that your stomach is full.

I prefer to use the oil too, keeping amounts reasonable. I recently found some almond oil that I am going to try.
