Today I decided I was going to get in the pool but not between 1 and 3 PM because it was so very hot. Just about 3 it started to thunderstorm and we lost electric for a minute. It poured rain and stopped. Sun came out so I was going to swim, turned toward the window and it was pouring again. This went on till 6 PM and I finally got in the pool to exercise. not in long and it started to thunderstorm on the other side of the house. But I won and did get in the pool, had to get out but okay. Smile

I add vegetables to pre-made or canned stews, soups, and chilis to make them last longer, reduce the amount of calories per serving and sodium I ingest, and keeps me fuller. In the long run, this seems to save money, too. It's also a great way to use leftover vegetables, or last night's leftovers. Might also be a good way to get kids to eat more veggies without them noticing. It's win-win-win-win.
Pre-made things don't have enough veg servings in them. This saves calories because the additional veggies make me full with just 1 serving of the soup. Like, I added mushrooms to beef chili. Has all nutritional benefits from the mushrooms, and they soaked up lots of flavor and sodium.
