If you walk or run around your neighborhood for exercise, make sure to use the "Map Your Route" feature on the fitness tracking page to get the most accurate numbers for your log. Furthermore, click on the satellite view once in a while. I was surprised to find I was "jipping" myself about .2 mile on every walk because the route I was tracking on the map view wasn't quite right!

    Tried to map a route here and it put me miles from my home to start with, I can't really figure out exactly where my house is because there are roads coming off all over the place that are not there in real life, is this a google map?

    You can also get some good smartphone apps that will do this for you. I really like Tracks on Droid.
