Adding Veggies To Ground Meat

Add spinach, shredded carrot, tomato,
Make ahead ground meat for dishes in advance and freeze. Mix in some frozen chopped spinach, shredded carrot into meat mixture. Can use to make spaghetti sauce, meatballs, burgers, etc. It cooks in well, you can't really taste it! Great to get veggies into picky eater's diet.

    I also add, canned brown lentils as well as grated vegetables to ground beef. Adds extra fibre and nutrition as well as makes the meat go further. Use in lasagne, chilli, bolognaise, taco filling.

    I make sloppy joes this way - celery, carrot, onion and green pepper - the total equals the amount of ground beef I add. No one knows the difference!

    My mom has done this for years. IT was a way to sneak veggies into my brother.
