i take care of very sick children as a nurse and every time i start to get down on myself i think how lucky i am that me and my husband have 2 healthy kids. the parents of the kids that i take care of have great outlooks on life even with sick kids, so why shouldn't i with 2 healthy kids
Don't forget to involve the kids in healthy eating. It does no good to take care of yourself and then feed your kids junk. You can make healthier versions of anything. Healthy habits start young.
I just made homemade beefaroni for my step daughter and she LOVES it!! Instead of being loaded with sodium, white flour, and mystery meat, I made it myself using no sodium added tomato sauce, lean ground beef, 2% cheese, and whole wheat macaroni. She loved it and I loved it too!!!
