This time of year, frozen grapes are heaven-sent. Easy to pack in snack packs (3 or 4 ounces) & a lifesaver on these steaming hot med-western days. My granddaughter is in a regional girls softball tournament trying for their team to qualify for the National Softball World Series in Orlando. Grandpa sits in the shade, drinks plenty of water, wears a cooling neckband and casually eats frozen grapes. Today was 99 & a heat index of 106 & I made it through the heat. Glad I didn't have to coach or do
infield practice. That's my sons job now. Besides, I'm nursing a torn rotator cuff. Their are 68 teams in her bracket from an eight state region consisting of Il, IA, MN, NE, KS, OK, MO & AR. They got there by winning one qualifying tournament & placing third in another. EAT FROZEN GRAPES!
