I find that pre-planning your meals with food items you have in your home doesn't just help you maintain your caloric and nutritional intake. It also helps you learn about the foods you bring into your home so you know which ones you'll be buying more frequently and which ones you need to start buying. This has helped me lose 30+lbs so far

I survived Thanksgiving by having a plan for the left overs. I made plans to portion out leftovers, Turkey, Ham, sweets. Put Ham & Turkey into meal size portion into a zip seal bag dated & froze it. Only left out some for sandwiches today. Desserts I sent home with folks and leftover. cut into 1/2 servings and sealed & frozen. (mine Cleared it all out and now I don't have but my version of giblet gravy made with my own homemade stock (that had all fat removed, no gibbies don't like em)
When weather gets cooler the garden gets turned over ready for next year. I am not done my gardening because I have turned my house garage into a garden. I can still get my car in thank goodness. I have tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, cabbage, cauliflower, spinach, lettuce, cucumbers, raspberries, blueberries all started. Now what actually makes it we will see but it will be fun. I will still be tending to my garden & getting exercise. I always try new things, have fun, join me. Love Spark site
