I used to be a pack a day smoker. I tried the patch, the gum, the spray- nothing worked. They tell you not to try to quit cold turkey, but I did. My secret to that was that I picked up activities. I started mountain biking and playing disc golf (which is pretty low impact compared to MTB) I enjoyed these activities so much, but I was held back because I couldn't breathe! So anytime I wanted to light up- I just thought about how much I wanted to play and be able to do it without suffocating!
