You pancreas starts to put out extra insulin to deal with the glucose 30 minutes after eating. About 2 hours after eating your body should burn through all the glucose it could process and then turns it into blood fats and will store the excess as fat in your system. Too many hours without eating can cause your blood sugar level to plummet, leaving you ready to grab for anything with sugar. Instead eat some fruit. Don't go longer than 3 hours without a small snack and experience no binges
