I have discovered that I am much more likely to go to the gym after work if I take my workout stuff with me to work, change their, and go straight to the gym. If I go home first, then I just want to get comfy and not go anywhere....

When I leave work I go straight to the gym, turn the car off, and go inside. I don't run errands, stop for food, go home to change, etc... they all lead to a break in my concentration! I just go straight to the gym - that's all it takes to get me motivated!9
I always have a gym bag packed and ready. When I leave for work I put my bag in the car. Then it is easier to just go straight to the gym after work. If I stop home it is much less likely I'll go workout.
I create a backup plan for each workout. Wednesday I had originally intended to go to spin class but slept poorly the night before and was in no shape to get up at 5 am. Instead, I packed my gym bag and went straight to the gym when I got off work. The elliptical wasn't my first choice but it was far better than nothing. 314
