Take advantage of those charities in the malls that will wrap your gift(s) for a small donation. If you wrap the way I do, you take EVERY opportunity to have someone else wrap your gifts. If a store offers free gift wrapping, I take advantage of it. But it's really great to have use a charity to wrap your gift for you. The charity gets money, and your gift looks lovely!
Each week I lose weight, I am buying a gift card. This helps me to save "cash" toward achieving my goal and I am able to make the purchase. If any hiccups should come along, I can't spend the $$ (i.e., if car breaks down I don't use my Macy's gift card at Meinike).
Fridge on the fritz, need a new washer/dryer? Purchase a gift card each week or every payday to help save for that big purchase.
