I keep my legs moving as much as I possibly can while going to and from the bus on my power wheelchair, and it has really helped--I broke my plateau and have lost 15 pounds! I do single leg extensions and add more movements as it is safe to do so.
I am refusing to let my disability keep me from exercising.

I have found that I move so much more this way than I do on the days I have to drive my car and use my walker, just because my feet give me so much pain that when I have to walk, I avoid it to diminish the pain; I also tend to fall frequently when I walk, so the wheelchair is much safer for me.
