I wanted to have one place where I could go to see pre and post blood sugar readings and also to be able to track my Insulin usage for that day. I created four new "meals", naming them Breakfast Insulin, Lunch Insulin, Dinner Insulin and Lantus.
Having the Insulin tracking on my meals also gives me an idea of what foods cause problems for me.
I learned that cheese significantly slowed the digestion of carbs, so now I take half of my computed Insulin just after a meal & the rest 2 hours later
(for meals like Mexican food, lasagna or pizza. These are treats but the calories and fat are calculated to stay below my max allowable calories).
