I saw a friend's mom dip her fingers in a bowl of water and sprinkle it over her salad, then she would season her salad. I now do the same, and I use a mixture of different spices to add flavor. The water gives the spices and seasonings something to stick to, without turning the salad soggy!48
I vary the spices I use. Sometimes i'll use seasoning salt, sometimes i'll use Goya Sazon packets or Adobo. I love spicy foods, and I'll sprinkle curry powder, cayenne pepper, chili powder, paprika, garlic and onion powder for a spicy kick!4
Braggs Liquid Soy Seasoning has 0 calories and all-natural
Once I learned that on average a tablespoon of olive oil has about 120 calories, I started looking for other options for cooking and salad dressing, and I found Braggs. Now I use it in stirfrys, and on salads. Just drizzle it over your salad with some fresh lemon/lime and any fresh herbs/spice you like, and you will have created a 0 calorie salad dressing.
Braggs is all natural and has no preservatives. And again 0 calories!
I have been enjoying canned beets in my chopped salads. To cut down on the salad dressing, I have been pouring some of the canned beet juice over the salad and adding Mrs Dash or another spice mix on top for added flavor.
