Total Gym...Finally An Exercise Program I Don'T Dread!
Members Were Sparked
I purchased a Total Gym from the informercial about 3 months age...I hate walking, I hate doing videos...pretty much hate all exercise, until the TG. Seriously folks, yes its expensive, and it does take up quite a bit of space (even though they tell you it stores easily) . I have been doing the work outs every other day and its true...muscle burns fat all day...I am thrilled!

You don't have to be well off to be well supplied!
Keep your eyes and ears open and you'll be amazed what you can find! I have fitted out a home gym for a total investment of $60. That's an electronic computerized treadmill from the thrift store for $35 (and the money went to a great cause!), a free Total Gym from Craigslist, a pair of five pound, $4 handweights from Goodwill, some used exercise videos for $6, and a tiny TV to watch them on from a yard sale for $10. I picked a couple of odds and ends at Ross, and Voila!
Free Gym or Fitness Center Memberships for Seniors
Ask if you can receive a free gym membership through the Silver Sneakers program that comes with some health care programs for seniors. Programs may offer memberships at Ys, commercial gyms, or senior centers. Programs differ nationwide & consider you a "senior" at different ages.
Luckily my Silver Sneakers program is good at a very new & well-equipped Y which is only 12 minutes from home. Things might be different in other areas, but my Y is less crowded in the late morning or early afternoon because many people stop there on the way to or from work..
No one likes to think of their own end, but it is inevitable. I often hear people talk about how they are too busy to do the things they'd like to do. Remember a couple of things- 1) No one was ever on their deathbed wishing they spent more time at work or cleaning the house. 2) Never feel you are indispensable. Go to any graveyard, I would imagine that there are people there who thought the very same about themselves... yet, the world kept turning, society didn't collapse. Live, laugh, love.
Many culture don't look at death with dread, they are aware of it and live every moment as if it were their last.
