Always get your exercise in first thing in the morning - Why? If you don't there are always other things that will become a priority - giving you excuses not to exercise - Exercising first things frees up the day for the rest of life to happen. JUST DO IT!!!

    I have to agree with this. Every time that I get up in the morning to get my exercise not only do I feel better but I actually get some exercise done with not excuses. The days that I don't wake up well I have the rest of the day to stress about what time I will have time to go to the gym and exercise.

    Great idea! I used to walk 30 minutes @ 4:30 AM before work but since I retired, I haven't. I will start again but now my first thing in morning will be around 7AM!

    Boy, ain't it the truth?
I TRIED to 'squeeze it in' later in the day, &......I'm sure we all know how that works out. Since I started an 8-wk, 5% challenge (this is its last wk), I made a commitment to do my workouts first thing in the morning: get out of bed & dress in workout gear & I'm been 100% consistent! Gotta get up 6-6:30 on days I work,'s been worth it, especially since I've lost MORE than the 5% & about ready to start up another challenge!!! emoticon REMINDER that this is the ONLY thing that's ever worked for me. emoticon

    Sounds like a special plan and if you can get it in it would be very powerful. However myself I have a tough time getting up and doing exercises first thing in the morning. So I for one have to get exercise in during the day over several attempts. However good for you and your suggesting of early morning. Thanks for sharing.

    Years ago when I wanted to lose weight, I exercised right away in the morning, prior to my shower. It really helped me lose weight and tone up. I'm going to give it another go!

    I'm up at 5 am M-F or 6 am on weekends and start my day with a 40 minute Total Gym workout. This gives me so much energy and gets those endorphins pumping....keeps my mood up all day! The other added plus....I don't have to think about squeezing a workout into my day. I'm free to allow the unexpected to happen! : )

    Plus it gives me the satisfaction all day that I started the doay doing something good for me. I meet a friend at 7:00 AM twice a week for a 6-8 mile walk.
