This Sparked Me!

I went into a jacuzzi wearing a sterling silver necklace and it turned BROWN! I had warn this necklace for 4 years and this had never happened before! Here's how I fixed it:
~Take a pot deep enough to submerge what your trying to fix.
~Line the pot with aluminum foil.
~Add 1tsp of salt and 1tsp of baking soda
~Add enough water to cover the object
~Bring to a boil and "cook" for at least 3 minutes!
~It was a bit dull afterward so I cleaned it with toothpaste and it's good as new!!

I just tried this on a toe ring that fell off in our pool and sat in there overnight. It really does work! emoticon

I have tried this in the sink with lots of tarnished silverware. I lined the sink with aluminum foil and put in silverware and covered with boiling water and let it sit for a while. Silverware looked good as new in no time!

Can't wait to try this. I NEVER wear sterling jewelry in the pool, and additionly rarely wear gold either because of the tarnishing that occurs. I usually just use the jewelry cleaning cloths to clean sterling silver because (it turns black from sweat let alone wearing it in the pool), but I am very interested in trying the "cooking" method, thanks!
