They have a nice bright flavor that prevents me from grazing deeper in to the depths of the fridge. Plus, it is kind of fun to pop them in your mouth and hear them crunch! Each cherry tomato is only 3 calories. It is a great effortless way to pop in more servings of vegetables.

Have you ever tried the yellow cherry tomatoes? They are sweet as candy! I grow them each summer and they are prolific producers. Very low acid and just wonderful!

oUTSIDE OF MAKING A GREAT SALAD, I also use cherry tomatoes as a snack. Better than pretzels or chips and much more nutritious. A little WHIPPED CREAM CHEESE IS GOOD WITH THEM.

Yellow cherry tomatoes sound delicious! One of the best Italian appetizers I ever had was mix of yellow, red, and green tomatoes on a layer of beef carpaccio with basil, mozzerella, and aged balsamic vinegar spritzed on top. I make my own version substiting serrano ham for the carpaccio. Yummy, simple, and delicious!
