When measuring a certain amount of a liquid, use a clear two cup measure with gradations on the side instead of the measuring cup that exactly matches the amount you want ... unless, of course, you LIKE wiping up spilled orange juice!

    You are right there are 2 kinds of measuring cups One for dry goods that are exact sizes and the other JUG style is for liquids. Ideally that should be on a flat surface and the liquid should reach the exact line.
