Before I joined SparkPeople.com I was using a free Smart Phone App called Calorie Counter. Now I use it as an additional resource for being able to track calories not found at SP. The one feature that I really like about it, is that it has a bar code scanning feature. You just scan a bar code and it automatically registers the nutrition information.

More Information:

I think this would be a great feature to add to the SparkPeople Smart Phone app. Until they do, use Calorie Counter as an additional resource. You can also access Calorie Counter on your desk top or lap top but you can't do the scanning feature.

  • Would you mind sharing what app you use? I have a scanner, but it doesn't give nutrition facts... just coupons, price, etc. Thanks! - by JULESMAGEE

Sounds like a great idea. I will look through the apps on my smart phone to see if I can find it. - by PBUTLER1201
