Before I joined SparkPeople.com I was using a free Smart Phone App called Calorie Counter. Now I use it as an additional resource for being able to track calories not found at SP. The one feature that I really like about it, is that it has a bar code scanning feature. You just scan a bar code and it automatically registers the nutrition information.
I think this would be a great feature to add to the SparkPeople Smart Phone app. Until they do, use Calorie Counter as an additional resource. You can also access Calorie Counter on your desk top or lap top but you can't do the scanning feature.

If you have a smart phone...download the free apps. You can always find great applications (ex. Spark People, Yelp, Goby, Mint.com, Flixter, the list goes on and on) for FREE. Many apps also have "lite" versions - (Shazam, Words Free). Save your $1. Buying a regular phone saves you even more!
Your smart (and not so smart ) phone application. Use your free phone application to track your weight, exercise, calories burnt, calories intake etc. I love mine because it is free, and helps me keep track of everything on the go, besides of providing me nutritional information to choose better ,
I use Pandora on my smartphone. That way, I can check emails and text messages while I'm walking. I feel productive, and get my walk in at the same time! I also love a new app that tracks your time/mileage by using GPS! I was amazed that it even tells you altitude, and average speed.
