I've realized that when I sit down to eat a rice cake with mustard and ham thrown on top... i FEEL like im dieting!
So what I try to do is find as many delicious sounding recipes as i can on this site and just watch my portions -- that way I DONT feel like i'm dieting -- i'm just eating this delicious (healthy) meal i cooked!

    I haven't had any rice cakes in awhile but when I was eating it, I found they made excellent little miniature "cheesecakes" and really satisfied my craving for the "crunchy sweets" that I frequently like. I grew up on crunchy cookies - not chewy - because Mom made cookies with butter, not shortening. Or at least not 100% shortening. So with the rice cakes, I could put a thin layer of low fat spreadable cream cheese and a thin layer of fresh fruit preserve or low-sugar/no-sugar jam or jelly etc, and voila! "strawberry cheesecake" or "cherry cheesecake". Yum!
