With the weather getting warmer, I've been craving frozen treats. My solution: frozen fruit! I've always loved eating the frozen mixed berries that I put on my yogurt in the morning, but recently, I've been experimenting by freezing fresh fruit. My new favorite: mango! The frozen pieces taste just like a mango sherbet. Even better, they are in season and on sale in most stores for less than $1.00 each. Another tasty option is pineapple, also in season and on sale! 4
I love my fresh fruit, but I found I was wasting my money when the fruit would go bad before I could finish it. Now to save money if it gets close to browning or going bad I now fresh freeze it. Slice it into small peices and reuse the fresh frozen for smoothies or fruit salad as needed!!!
