What does that mean? Well, we all hopefully have some sort of exercise plan. Ideally, you stick with it. Sometimes though, circumstance prevents us from doing the activiities we have planned. But try to be consistent anyway. If your day calls for a 5 mile run and you're not up to it...

...do a shorter, less strenuous walk. Better to do *anything*, even if it seems like nothing, and be consistent in continuing your regimen by not missing a day, than to miss the day and possibly take you off track.

I agree with you on this. I will walk in place where ever I am, just to get some exercise in, if I can't get my normal routine done.

Yes, anything IS better. And sometimes since I'm already moving, I just start fitting the rest of my routine into my day.

So true! Something is ALWAYS better than nothing. If you keep up the mindset that you're working out, even if it is not the same difficulty, you really do keep up the importance of exercise and the need to exercise on a routine in your mind. Let's face it. Our minds are generally our worst enemies when it comes to motivation and staying on track, anyway!

Keeping moving does help for days when a long workout just is not gonna happen!
LYNETTEMOM9/13/2012 3:36:00 PM
I simply try to walk more around the house when the walk doesn't happen
SHAWNY29/13/2012 10:45:00 AM
I totally agree with this statement!

I agree. Best to do something. If I take a day off I most likely will take three days off.

I am finding that being consistant with workout, even though I don't feel well, I end up doing the full length workout. It does a body good.
RDOWE539/13/2012 9:26:00 AM
You're so right...if i don't have enough time to do my full workout i"ll fit in whatever i can sometimes only 10 minutes..but i'll try to do this a few times during the day...
PALMETTOGIRL229/13/2012 8:16:00 AM
YES!!!!!!!!! This is what I do, and IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!
CMORISAK9/13/2012 6:25:00 AM
I agree
SHAROND529/13/2012 6:14:00 AM
I totally agree with it. It seems for me if I don't at least do a small amount then the next day it is so easy to miss another day and then it becomes a nasty pattern,
DONNAGA4/29/2010 10:17:00 PM
I agree with you. It is better to do a little than not to do anything.

I work out as soon as i get up in the morning (before work) then if i feel up to it i work out in the evening too , splitting my workouts into 2 manageable shorter workouts helps me be consistent & also if i am too tired in the evening to work out i have already worked out in the morning !!!! plus it keeps my metabolism going all day :)
