Your comments on Weight Maintenance are spot on. Your message perked me up and I'm not even close to my weight goal yet, but already planning ahead for what will be required in the near future. Thanks!

I've given this some thought, too. Maintenance is at least four to six months away but I know from the past that losing weight is hard, but keeping it off is harder.......

Here here, CatsMeow. This has what I've NOT done in past weight loss experiences. It's not just about losing the weight, it's also about maintenance.
My weight has slowly crept back on the multiple times I've lost weight. Good reminder! This is the focus of the Beck Diet Solution.

!-The Diet Solution Program-! !-How To Lose Weight-!
I learned a lot about losing weight with Weight Watchers and a little about maintenance. I came to SparkPeople and learned more about losing and a lot more about weight maintenance. I got The Beck Diet Solution and am learning many more skills in dealing with food and thinking like a thin person.
MORE INFORMATION:
I lost weight by eating frequently and never allowing my hunger to get too great. I'm thinking more like a thin person now that I am learning to tolerate some hunger and learning I don't need to give in to cravings.
The best thing I did for maintenance was to get rid of all my old clothes. I did wear them loose for a while but then when I started buying new clothes I got rid of them and never looked back. I had lost weight before and kept the old clothes and ended up having to wear them again. I think not wanting to spend the money buying big clothes is a great motivator. 30
The scale can make you think you are not losing weight. You may even gain weight as you develop muscle mass. Don't give up! As you develop muscle, the fat will start decreasing. A pound of muscle equals the same as a pound of fat, but muscle is smaller than fat so you might even start to lose inches before you start losing weight.
