Hi I'm the ultimate popcorn fanatic and always had to have a regular tub with butter when I went to a movie - that is until I saw a Dr. Oz show where he mentioned that the popcorn contained a whopping 12 grams of fat. So to tame my munchies I've switched to eating a baggie full of pretzels which satisfys my "crunch-meter" and it's only 2 grams of fat. I find I don't miss eating the popcorn either. enjoy!

After you have determined that you are indeed hungry, MAKE SURE you have acceptable choices on hand - healthy nuts or seeds, fruits, veggies, hard pretzels, butter-less popcorn, etc. Then you will not be tempted to consume high calories fat-laden snacks!
I love movies. Problem is, I love to eat too. Watching a movie is a trigger for me to eat. Obviously, I should remove movies from my arsenal of things to do, but if I love movies, where does that leave me? I'll tell you: deprived of both food and something I love, movies. No way. Here's my solution:
a) I do not eat in movie theaters. Ever. This is a hard and fast rule. I bring a bottle of water and gum instead. It's easy once you find out just how many calories are in movie theater popcorn!
b) I keep bags of baby carrots in the fridge for watching movies at home. Small, crunchy and filling!
Out of Sight, Out of mind... and out of my mouth!!
I have to be sure to PUT every thing UP!! If there is anything out on the cabinets, I can't resist... I walk by and have it in my mouth before I know it. If I close up all snacks, cereals, etc and put them in the cabinet, I won't open it up and eat it. But if it is out, I'll eat it.
If I have the munchies, I'll cut up an apple, peal and section an orange and leave it in plane site for me to grab instead
