I heard this phrase on "5 Ingredient Fix." It is an excellent idea! My mother was a good cook, but never changed a recipe. My secret--don't be afraid to make a recipe your own. If you like garlic, add some or add more. Don't like rosemary? Try a different herb. Not all changes will be great, but it will be fun!

I don't like fish due to my early childhood, but am learning it's necessary for my health and weight loss. I don't know how to pick quality fish, properly prepare it, cook it, and then know it's done, plus it stinks the house so badly. SO, whenever I eat out, I order fish - just not fried. The restaurant chef has been trained in food preparation and the odor stays there. I just eat and reap the results.
My family owns a vacation home on a recreation lake. We spent our summers there since I was a child. My father would throw out 4 fishing lines before leaving for work in the morning. EVERY NIGHT we ate cat fish. I swore if I lived through childhood, I'd never eat fish again. Now I'm learning to!
I am a chef. Everyone thinks that its very hard to not eat when your are around food all day. The truth is, its not. Your so busy you dont have time to eat. Plus, the food you work with all the time, you dont want nothing to do with.
And yes, my job is a workout. Because I am on my feet all day, I lose quite a bit of calories.
