While fats are higher in calories than carbs or protein, the right kinds of fat are well worth it. Foods such as walnuts, avacados, peanut butter, almonds, flax meal and other health fats not only do great things for your body. They keep you satisfied. You are less likely to snack. Try it!
I generally find that eating foods that are either high fiber, high protein, or both, keep me full and satisfied longer. I don't follow a low carb diet, but I do try to make sure that I go easy ont he carbs and fat and lean more heavily towards the side of high protein/fiber
