Whenever you purchase a big ticket item (ie:TV, etc.) staple your receipt to the owners manual. That way, it will always be on hand if you ever need it.

I am going to start making a copy of my receipts. The heat register paper fades away and is often totally gone in a few months. I found this with the receipt for my husbands wedding ring the third time in a year to take it in for repair.

I have done this for years: highlight the price and date on the receipt, staple to the instruction booklet with model number and serial number written down and place in a file type box with all my others so it is easy to find if need be.

We try to put the model number and serial number as wellas date of purchase and warranty time on the book along with the receipt---- Good Plan!.

Double check nutritional values in items you are adding!!!

BEWARE of poorly entered food entries in the nutrition tracker "pop-up" items...especially if it is one of your "big ticket" caloric foods for the day...I have stumbled across food items that are listed and have ZERO values entered in the nutritional boxes...so if you pick it, you don't get any nutritional values added to your total for the day...

This leads you to think you have eaten LESS than you really have! Next thing you know, you stop losing and wonder what happened! 46

Save all receipts

After every purchase, put every receipt in a folder. If the item later goes on sale, you can take the receipt back and get a refund of the difference in price. Or if you need to return an item, (it breaks or you decide you don't need it or like it) you will be able to do so.

I don't organize them, I just know I can find it the receipt if I need it! After a few moths, I go through them and throw away the ones I'm sure I won't need.

Where to find the Warrenty Paper Purchase Receipts

Now a days you get a receipt that has the warranty right on it. I found a way not to lose those. I use one of those clear plastic baseball card holders and in each spot for a card is a receipt of an item. I use labels to note what the receipt is for, then put it in a manilla folder marked Warrenty

I also have a separate drawer that I keep all warranty files in plus all the papers that come with purchases. I place the paperwork in clear full size plastic holders and mark what the product is on the front then organize them in alphabetical order I always know where to find the manual to my items
