I've learned over the year that what works for me is the balanced diet approach advocated by Spark and Weight Watchers. I know that other eating plans work for other people, but I listen to my own body, and this is what makes me feel energized. I will occasionally notice myself craving a certain food and I pay attention and examine if I've somehow missed the boat. I usually have! Re-establishing the balance usually takes care of the craving.
When you have chronic health problems, allow yourself to rest when you need it, push yourself when you can, and know that it is okay! No guilt! Most of all, listen to your own body and spirit., and stay focused on the stepping stones that will ultimately lead to your goals
I have found that listening to you body and eating only when your hungry and then stopping when the hunger is gone is the best way to loose weight despite the amount of calories you are suppose to take in. as long as all the food you eat is very healthy and whole. No junk food.
