I know this isn't healthy lifestyle related, but I have to give a good review to the Litter Locker contraption. It stores waste that you scoop from your cat box in a odor blocking way. It uses a system similar to the Diaper Genie with bags and a compartment that both help block the scent. I now have 1 less thing to stress about - because it makes keeping the litter box sanitary so much easier.
After a few days you open up the compartment and tear the bag, using the attached cutter and take the bag out to the trash. I'm not scooping the box 2-3 times a day since it is so convenient and my cats love it! You can find it at Petsmart for about $20 and the refill bags cartridges are $10.

When I scoop out my cat's litter box, I practice some squats. After I finish scooping, I use a short-handled whisk broom and dustpan that I found at a dollar store to sweep up all of the litter that my cat has sprayed all over the tile floor. I do all of this while in a squatting position. By the time I am done, my cat's litter area looks great, and my legs feel the burn from the exercise!
One of our fellow Sparkers commented on my 1st posting for kitty litter and added a suggestion for a workout.
1. When she shops at WalMart or another store she goes straight to the Kitty litter and puts ten 10# boxes in her cart. Pushing an extra 100 pounds has helped her lose weight. Before checking out she returns to the Cat litter section and 're-stocks' what she has borrowed. 2. Place Cat litter in an open container and put in basement to get rid of that musty smell. 3. Cat litter
makes an effective odor remover in other places as well. Someone once stored some onions in our picnic cooler. When we discovered it, the cooler had a strong smell of onion that couldn't be washed out. We put Cat litter in an old pair of panty hose. The smell was gone the next day.
