Smaller Plates



By downsizing my plate size I am able to decrease the amount I eat without thinking I am not getting enough. My plates look full and I have to use smaller portions in order to get all my food groups on the plate. In three weeks this trick has helped me lose 6 pounds while not feeling cheated.

More Information:

Although it is a mind over matter trick, using a salad plate instead of a dinner plate for my meals cuts back on how much you serve yourself and lets your brain think you are getting a lot without since your plate is full and has no empty spaces.
