Carry a water bottle with ounces measured on the outside. That way you know how much you're drinking and not only can you accurately track how many cups of water you've had, but if you set a specific goal to drink x-ounces of water you can see yourself reaching your daily goals.

    I did a similar thing--I bought a bottle of water that was exactly 1 liter, and know that I just have to drink two of them in the day to make my 8-cup goal!
